Pickup from Tangier port or airport to visit Tangier (depending on your arrival). Tangier,the whitewashed hillside medina, is home to the Dar el Makhzen, a palace of the Sultansthat's now a museum of Moroccan artifacts. The American Legation Museum, also in themedina, documents new diplomatic relations between the U.S. and Morocco in an 1821Moorish-style former consulate. We will also visit Hercules caves shaped in the Africancontinent. In this cavern, Hercules allegedly rested during his labor with an opening inthe shape of the African continent, as well as the 1000ft site above sea level at theentrance of the strait of Gibraltar. The visit also includes the Kasbah museum whichused to be the house of the former sultan's palace of Dar El Makhzen from prehistorictimes to the 19th century enjoying the charming Andalusian garden. The final stop isChefchaouen, the blue-washed buildings of its old town.
