Itinerary

Pickup from Tangier port or airport to visit Tangier (depending on your arrival). Tangier,the whitewashed hillside medina, is home to the Dar el Makhzen, a palace of the Sultansthat's now a museum of Moroccan artifacts. The American Legation Museum, also in themedina, documents new diplomatic relations between the U.S. and Morocco in an 1821Moorish-style former consulate. We will also visit Hercules caves shaped in the Africancontinent. In this cavern, Hercules allegedly rested during his labor with an opening inthe shape of the African continent, as well as the 1000ft site above sea level at theentrance of the strait of Gibraltar. The visit also includes the Kasbah museum whichused to be the house of the former sultan's palace of Dar El Makhzen from prehistorictimes to the 19th century enjoying the charming Andalusian garden. The final stop isChefchaouen, the blue-washed buildings of its old town. It is known for its shady mainsquare of Place Outa el Hammam which is the red-walled Kasbah, a 15th-centuryfortress and dungeon, the Ethnographic Museum, and the octagonal minaret nearby.Free time and overnight stay in Chefchaouen.

We travel to Fes visiting historically rich landmarks. The visit includes the excavatedancient city Volubilis which was also the ancient capital of the Mauretania kingdom, andthe journey continues to Meknes which is known for its imperial past, with remnants andits beautiful gate Bab Mansour that is famous with arches and mosaic tiling. Overnightstay in Fes.

Early departure to Merzouga desert through Ifran, which is known for its alpine-stylearchitecture and nearby ski slopes and forests and the lion status. The Cedar forests arenotable as a habitat for a sub-population of Barbary macaques. The commercial centerof a vast agricultural hinterland Midelt, Errachida, the tremendous Ziz Valley via its rockypassage, and Erfoud. We reach Merzouga for the overnight stay.

Breakfast, then traveling to Skouratown through Errissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet (historically Sijilmasa, is a regionand the largest oasis in Morocco).The charming city of Tinghir is known for its magnificent palm groves and its famousseries of limestone river canyons in the eastern part of the High Atlas Mountains.Boumalne Dades, where every scene could easily inspire an artistic masterpiece that isfamous with Todgha Gorge. After breakfast, drive to Marrakech through Ouarzazate visiting Atlas Studio, whereimagination runs free, discovering the hidden stories of the movie-making world.We also visit the 17th-century kasbah Ait Ben Haddou which is considered a greatexample of Moroccan earthen clay architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage sitesince 1987. Ait Ben Haddou is a historical site along the former caravan route betweenthe desert and Marrakech. The drive continues via Tishka Pass, reaching an altitude of2260m.Free time and overnight stay in Marrakech.

The city is known for its fortified medina and art galleries and boutiques, orwatch the fishing nets and traditional boats constructed in the hugely atmospheric port.The city also has a vibrant cultural mix. Overnight stay in Essaouira.
