Itinerary

Pick up from Tangier port to visit Tangier (depending on your arrival), and travel toChefchaouen. Tangier, the whitewashed hillside medina that is home to the Dar elMakhzen, a palace of the Sultans that's now a museum of Moroccan artifacts. The American Legation Museum, also in the medina, documents early diplomatic relationsbetween the U.S. and Morocco in an 1821 Moorish-style former consulate. We also visitHercules caves shaped in the African continent, a cavern where Hercules allegedlyrested during his labor with an opening in the shape of the African continent, as well asthe 1000ft site above sea level at the entrance of the strait of Gibraltar. The visit alsoincludes the Kasbah museum which used to be the house of the former sultan's palaceof Dar El Makhzen from prehistoric times to the 19th century enjoying the charmingAndalusian garden. The final stop is Chefchaouen, the blue-washed buildings of its oldtown. Well known for its shady main square of Place Outa el Hammam is the red-walledKasbah, a 15th-century fortress and dungeon, the Ethnographic Museum, and theoctagonal minaret nearby. Free time and overnight stay in Chefchaouen.
