Itinerary

Upon your arrival at Marrakech Airport, your tour driver will be waiting to transport you directlyto your accommodation in Marrakech, ensuring a hassle-free start to your trip and allowing youto relax and enjoy the journey at your accommodation. Sit back, soak in the surroundings, and getready to experience an unforgettable tour. Overnight stay in Marrakech.

Breakfast will be served at your Riad, after which a knowledgeable local guide will lead youthrough the labyrinth of Marrakech's winding alleyways, hidden gardens, and secret souks. Youwill continue to the Djemaa el Fna, the principal cultural space in Marrakech and a UNESCOWorld Heritage Site, beside which the minaret of the Koutoubia Mosque can be seen toweringinto the sky. In the evening, this square overflows with food stalls, dancers, acrobats, fortunetellers, musicians, and henna artists. Following your tour, you will have free time, whetherpampering at a local spa with a massage or further exploring the medina's souks. We will spendthe night at our hotel in Marrakech.

Pick up from your accommodation in Marrakech. We start by crossing the High Atlas Mountains,passing many charming Berber villages en route, and ascending to the highest peak of Tickha,where there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the stunning and picturesque views of the HighAtlas Mountains range. We will visit the Telouet Kasbah, built in the 18th century. Thismagnificent stronghold was the residence of the influential Glaoui family, who played asignificant role in Moroccan politics. We will also visit the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a famous17th-century fortress classified by UNESCO, to preserve and protect this renowned site. Over theyears, its fame built on its appearances in films such as Lawrence of Arabia, Jesus of Nazareth,Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, and Prince of Persia. You will have lunch at a restaurant near theKasbah. The journey takes you past Skoura city, through the Valley of Roses towards KalaatMegouna, and finally, entering Boumalne Dades, where you will have dinner and an overnightstay.

After breakfast, our journey will be scenic toward the picturesque Todra Gorge in Tinghir. Theawe-inspiring views of the gorge and its flowing river make it a sought-after destination forhikers. As you continue your journey, you'll pass through the desert towns of Erfoud and Rissani,each offering unique glimpses into the local culture and heritage.As the drive concludes at the edge of the desert, prepare for an extraordinary experience as youmount your camels or hop into the 4WD vehicle, venturing into the beautiful pink sands ofMorocco's highest dunes. Take your time to wander and explore the dunes before settling down towitness the captivating sunset. As the evening sets in, indulge in a delectable Moroccan cuisinedinner and enjoy the melodic tunes of traditional live music around the campfire. Engage inconversations with locals, embrace the rhythmic beats through drumming lessons, or bask in thetranquil ambiance of the desert. You will spend the night in cozy Berber tents, surrounded by theserene silence of the desert. Marvel at the breathtaking sight of the Milky Way stretching across the pitch-black night sky, and if luck permits, you may even catch a glimpse of shooting stars,adding a touch of magic to your desert experience.

Upon your request, our attentive staff will wake you up at dawn, ensuring you don't miss themesmerizing spectacle of the desert sunrise. Watch in awe as the vibrant colors of the sand createa stunning contrast against the dunes, painting an incredible palette of shadows. You will havebreakfast after experiencing this magical moment. Following breakfast, take some time to relaxand unwind before embarking on a thrilling 4WD off-road tour, offering you an immersive desertexperience. Begin by meeting and interacting with desert nomads in their traditional tents,gaining insight into their unique way of life. Next, drive across the high plateau of the rockydesert, enjoying panoramic views of the dunes and diverse desert landscapes. Your journey willlead you to the captivating "Ghost Town" of Mifis, an abandoned mining village where ancienteye cosmetics like Kohl and quartz were once excavated. Here, you may also spot fascinatingfossils of turtles, trilobites, ammonites, and orthoclase, remnants of the creatures that inhabitedthis ancient sea millions of years ago. Continue your exploration from geology to music as youvisit Khamlia Village, a town inhabited by darker-skinned Berbers. Immerse yourself in theunique sounds of Gnawa music, performed by local people who are descendants of ex-slaves whomigrated to Morocco from Senegal and Sudan via the Salt Route. Enjoy a live show of Gnawaspiritual music and savor a delightful homemade Berber pizza for lunch. Your journey continuesto the oasis of Merzouga, where you can explore the community gardens and visit the nomadicdepository. We drive to the Riad for the overnight stay.

We start our journey to Fes, leading us through Errachidia and the breathtaking Ziz Valley withits difficult passage. Along the way, we pass Midelt, a bustling commercial center surrounded bya vast agricultural landscape. The journey also takes us through the Cedar forests, renowned forbeing a habitat for the unique sub-population of Barbary macaques known as Macaca Sylvanus.Our next stop is Ifrane, famous for its alpine-style architecture, nearby ski slopes, and pristineforests. As we continue our journey, you will be captivated by the iconic lion statue. By earlyevening, we will reach your accommodation in Fez.

Following breakfast at the hotel, our accredited local guide will accompany you on a walking tourof the Fes Medina. Step back in time as you wander through the labyrinth of twisting alleyways -donkeys and mules pass through the narrow streets, savor the aromas from the market stallswhere countless spices and perfumes are traded, and explore the leather tanneries where men treatleather using century-old techniques. We’ll cap the day with dinner at one of the many localrestaurants of the medina, then settle in for the evening at your hotel.

After breakfast, we set off on a drive to the charming city of Chefchaouen. Along the way, westop at Meknes, renowned for its illustrious imperial history and architectural remnants. One ofthe main highlights is the Bab Mansour gate, famous for its impressive arches and exquisitemosaic tiling. We also visit the excavated ancient city of Volubilis, once the capital of theMauretanian kingdom, where you can explore its rich historical heritage. Upon arrival inChefchaouen, you'll be captivated by the enchanting sight of the blue-washed buildings that adornits old town. You'll have some free time to explore the charming streets of Chefchaouen at yourown pace. The city is famous for its picturesque main square, Place Outa el Hammam, where youcan relax and soak in the ambiance. Don't miss the opportunity to visit the red-walled Kasbah, a15th-century fortress with a fascinating dungeon, the nearby Ethnographic Museum, and thedistinctive octagonal minaret. Immerse yourself in the vibrant local culture, shop for uniquehandicrafts, or enjoy the serene atmosphere of this remarkable city.

On this day, we will have an excursion to Akchour Waterfalls, known for its natural beauty andcascading waterfalls. As we hike along scenic trails, surrounded by lush greenery and ruggedterrain, you'll be captivated by the mesmerizing sights and sounds of the cascading waterfalls thatawait us. Feel the refreshing mist on your face as you stand in awe of nature's power and beauty.Take in the tranquility of the surroundings, listen to the soothing sound of rushing water, andbreathe in the fresh mountain air. During the excursion, there will be opportunities to relax andenjoy the serene atmosphere. Take a dip in the crystal-clear pools beneath the waterfalls, or find apeaceful spot to sit and appreciate the natural wonders surrounding you. Our knowledgeableguide will be there to provide insights into the area's local flora, fauna, and cultural significance.We will drive back to Chefchaouen for the overnight stay.

After breakfast, we continue the tour to Tangier. Free time to explore its whitewashed hillsidemedina is home to the Dar el Makhzen, a palace of the Sultans that's now a museum of Moroccanartifacts. The American Legation Museum, also in the medina, documents early diplomaticrelations between the U.S. and Morocco in an 1821 Moorish-style former consulate. We willdrive you to visit Hercules caves which are in the shape of the African continent, a cavern whereHercules allegedly rested during his labor with an opening in the form of the African continent, aswell as the 1000ft site above sea level at the entrance of the strait of Gibraltar. The visit alsoincludes the Kasbah Museum, which used to be the house of the former sultan's palace of Dar ElMakhzen from prehistoric times to the 19th century enjoying the charming Andalusian Garden.Overnight stay in Tangier.

Departure from Tangier to Casablanca via Asilah & Rabat. The visit includes the UNESCOWorld Heritage Site Oudaya, and Hassan Tower, a minaret of an incomplete mosque built by the third Caliph of the Almohad Caliphate in 1195, along with Mohammed V mausoleum that has thetombs of three kings (Mohammad V, Hassan II, and Prince Abdallah). The drive takes you toCasablanca to visit Mohammad V square, an Airy square built in 1916 amid French Colonialbuildings, with a statue & pigeon-covered fountain. Hassan II Mosque was completed in 1993,designed by Michel Pinseau, and built by Bouygues. The mosque is considered the second-largestin Africa after the Algiers grand mosque and 7th in the world. The mosque also has the world'ssecond-tallest minaret at 210 meters. Overnight stay in Casablanca.

We'll travel along the Atlantic coastline to Essaouira. Overnight stay in Essaouira.

Breakfast is served at your riad, and it's time to explore Essaouria at your leisure. Meet localartists in their studios, browse their artwork, or head to the lively fish market for a savory lunchof fresh grilled fish caught just this morning. A short walk along the beach at low tide reveals thecrumbling ruins of the fort of Borj El Barod, and a boat ride to the island of Mogador offersglimpses of the rare Eleanora's falcon. Should you fancy watersports, you may even want to tryone of the many offered on the popular local beaches, including surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing,bodyboarding, and kayaking. If you are feeling somewhat tired from your travels, Essaouira is aperfect place to recoup - sit in one of the many beachside cafes on Place Moulay Hassan, relax,and watch the waves roll in with a mint tea and a Moroccan pastry.

On This day, we will explore the coastal wind Essaouira which attracts plenty of windsurfersbetween April and November. It is also well known for its fortified medina, art galleries, andboutique, or watch the fishing nets and traditional boats constructed in the hugely atmosphericport. The city also has a vibrant cultural mix. We drive back to Marrakech by early evening.Overnight stay in Marrakech.
